Written Tycoon’s roll continues
No sooner had Woodside Park Stud announced that Written Tycoon would stand in NSW for 2020, than he demonstrated why Arrowfield is delighted to have him join the roster.
Bloodstock Manager Jon Freyer reports that the Champion Victorian Sire has been very warmly received in the Hunter and will undoubtedly cover a full book of mares in 2020.
Written Tycoon is on a roll of Autumn success with 29 wins in the past 30 days, and six wins in the last 7 days.
A day after the announcement, syndicator Rob Slade and the Lindsay Park team unveiled 3YO filly All About Fashion (ex Elle Labelle by Elvstroem) and she romped home by 4 lengths at the Friday evening meeting held at Pakenham.

All About Fashion was soon joined on the week’s winning list by three other members of Written Tycoon’s 2016 crop.
On Saturday La Chevalee (ex Hautvillers by Flying Spur) continued her progress with a second win at Sandown for the Maher & Eustace stable, and an hour later the Spendthrift-owned, Hawkes-trained colt Dirty Work cleaned up for his third victory, by 2.3 lengths at Randwick.
Two races later the Snowden stable sent out Gosford Guineas LR winner Hightail (ex La Paris by Falvelon), who obliged with his fourth career win, taking his earnings past $700,000 for China Horse Club & partners.

At the mid-week Perth meeting, Kissonallforcheeks (ex Rosie Rocket by Blackfriars) became Written Tycoon’s 79th 2YO winner, and the 11th from his 2017 crop.
That result and Santelmo Fuego’s Wednesday success at Warrnambool gave Written Tycoon six wins for the week.
They could not be more perfectly timed, because he’s now level with his new barn-mate Snitzel on 142 Australian winners this season.
