Dundeel’s 3YO daughter Cinch has followed up her maiden stakes win in the Tasmanian Oaks LR with an authoritative victory in Saturday’s $150,000 SAJC Auraria S. 1800m G3 at Morphettville.
After jumping smartly and rolling along in second spot behind Marina Di Campo, she took control 500 metres out and finished off strongly to stave off the late challenge of All Kinds Of Folk.
That’s Cinch’s third straight win from six starts for the stable of Ben, Will & JD Hayes and it signals her readiness for the $1 million Australasian Oaks G1 at the same venue on 26 April.

A home-bred for Dr Ian Duckworth, Fairview Park Stud & Kianben Bloodstock who race her with SEN Giddy Up, Cinch is the 7th winner out of Eye For Fun (by Snitzel), already notable as the dam of Mossfun (Golden Slipper G1) & Champion Singapore Sprinter Aramco.
Snitzel’s 45 stakeswinners as a broodmare sire also include New Zealand-based 2YO filly Bona Sforza, winner of Saturday’s Welcome S. LR at Riccarton.
Dundeel is a top 10 sire in Australia by stakeswinners (8) and stakes wins (10) this season, and that doesn’t include the Westbury Classic G2 success at Ellerslie, NZ by his 4YO daughter Konasana.
Five of those stakeswinners are out of mares by Redoute’s Choice (Mare Of Mt Buller & Deel Her In), Fastnet Rock (Kingofwallstreet) or Snitzel (Cinch & Jasmin Rouge).
These results, and Dundeel’s growing status as the sire of Group 1 sires Castelvecchio & Super Seth, have under-pinned his strong 2025 yearling sale statistics, culminating in his best-to-date Inglis Easter average of $414,000.
