All four stallions with runners on Arrowfield’s current roster, plus 2025/26 Champion Sire-elect Snitzel and former sire Scissor Kick, were represented by elite winners this season, collectively siring 12 winners of 16 (21% of the total) Australian Group 1 races, all but one of them in Sydney & Melbourne.

Those 12 horses have so far earned almost $50 million, with 9 sold as yearlings for a total of $4.22 million, and all bar the now-retired Baraqiel remain in training.

AELIANA

Star Thoroughbreds' AELIANA is now a triple G1 winner of $4.4 million

Snitzel’s 6 individual Group 1 winners – notably from 5 different crops – is a career high for him, and their 6 Group 1 wins matches the tally achieved by Redzel, Trapeze Artist, Estijaab & Russian Revolution in 2017/18, the second of his five Premiership seasons.

It’s also the best Group 1 season any Australian sire has put together since his own sire Redoute’s Choice in 2005/06, when Fashions Afield, God’s Own, Lotteria, Miss Finland, Nadeem & Snitzel himself all won Group 1 races.

Snitzel’s grandsire Danehill also posted six Australian Group 1 winners in 1998/99, but it was Zabeel who set the benchmark in that same season with 7 individual Group 1 winners: Bezeal Bay, Champagne, Dignity Dancer, Inaflury, Jezabeel, Might And Power & Sky Heights.

The Autumn Sun’s superstar daughter Autumn Glow and dual Guineas-winning son Autumn Boy contributed 5 Group 1 victories this season, and Castelvecchio’s magnificent daughter Aeliana won twice in eight days at that level.

Cosmic Crusader (by Maurice), Idle Flyer (by Dundeel) & Giga Kick (by Scissor Kick) added Group 1 successes at Ascot, Randwick & Flemington.

The 16 Arrowfield-sired Group 1 wins were distributed across the season from September to April, but the roster dominated Sydney in the Autumn, winning 10 of the Carnival’s 22 major contests, including a treble on 21 March at Rosehill: Autumn Boy’s Rosehill Guineas, Aeliana’s Ranvet Stakes & Marhoona’s Golden Slipper.

Arrowfield stallions also supplied 10 of the 22 Group 1 victories achieved by the powerhouse Chris Waller stable in 2025/26.
