Hooked On This Feeling

Group 1 winners Hitotsu, Baraqiel, Private Life, Profondo & Tagaloa.

Group winners Anders, Bittercreek, Blitzburg, Flying Evelyn, Shangri La Spring, Snitzanova & Wee Nessy.

Listed winners Comanche Miss, Matusalem, Noah ‘N’ A Deel, Soaring Ambition & Willinga Beast plus millionaires Count De Rupee & Sky Lab.

They are all among the imposing 26 stakeswinners purchased from Arrowfield’s 2019-24 Magic Millions consignments. And it’s a record that continues to build.

The Stud’s early 2025/26 tally features six stakes performers purchased from Arrowfield’s barns on the Gold Coast, a list headed by Bennett Racing’s $150,000 buy Baraqiel (Snitzel-Angel Of Mercy). His career prizemoney now stands at $1.4 million after his Moir S. G1 & Carlyon S. LR victories and Manikato S. G1 second from the stable of Leon & Troy Corstens & Will Larkin.

The colts Skyhook (winner of The Rosebud LR & Group 2-placed) and Beadman (Group 2 and Listed-placed) have enhanced their 2YO Group-winning CVs and their future stallion prospects.

B2B Thoroughbreds’ high-class filly Lazzura (Snitzel-Laguna Azzurra) has taken her earnings close to $1 million with victories in the Let’s Elope S. G2 at Flemington & the Show County Quality G3 at Randwick.

In New Zealand, Te Akau Racing’s 3YO filly Origin Of Love (Snitzel-Re Edit) won October’s War Decree S. G3 at Riccarton.

And the Charlotte Littlefield-trained 4-time winner Big Swinger gave his large group of owners a happy reason to be at Flemington on Champions Day with a game first-up third in the Always Welcome S. LR. He followed up three weeks later with a third in the Testa Rossa S. LR at Caulfield.

Add the appeal of Hitotsu’s first yearlings, the Stud’s welcoming hospitality and the 2025 achievements of Arrowfield-sired stars like Aeliana, Autumn Glow, Autumn Boy, Cosmic Crusader, Femminile, Lady Shenandoah, Marhoona, Return To Conquer & Transatlantic, and buyers will be making a bee-line for Barns R, S, T & U on the Gold Coast!

Arrowfield’s Bloodstock Manager Jon Freyer highlights 9 short-list specials from the draft:

Lot 34: HITOTSU – AL JASRAH FILLY
“Medium-sized quality filly with plenty of depth and style to her. Her sire won three Classics and her half-sister was third in the 2025 VRC Oaks G1. This filly has Oaks written all over her.”
