“She’s all heart and she brings her A game every time she steps out on to the track.”
That was the rap Idle Flyer’s trainer Matthew Smith gave her via the stable’s X account after the 4YO daughter of Dundeel sprinted to her 6th win and first stakes victory in the $250,000 ATC Angst S. 1600m G3 on Everest day at Royal Randwick. Polymnia, also by Dundeel and Group 1-placed last season, filled third spot in the race.
Idle Flyer is the 39th stakeswinner on Dundeel’s record, and his 7th female stakeswinner this year, after Group 1 winner Femminile, Group winners Konasana, Cinch, Litzdeel & Mare Of Mt Buller and Listed winner Deel Her In.

Bred by Torryburn Stud, Idle Flyer is the best of three winners left by city winner Progressive (by Street Cry) who, like Redoute’s Choice, descends from the influential broodmare Dancing Show.
Dundeel’s son Kingofwallstreet, winner of last year’s Caulfield Classic G3 and subsequently 4th in the Victoria Derby G1, is also among Dancing Show’s 47 stakes-winning descendants.
Matthew Smith & Brett Howard’s Randwick Bloodstock purchased Idle Flyer for $70,000 from Torryburn’s draft at Inglis Classic and she is raced by a large group of stable clients.

Idle Flyer’s career prizemoney now approaches $400,000 and she is the leading earner among Dundeel’s 47 winners in the first 80 days of the 2025/26 season.
The champion son of High Chaparral remains among the top 20 sires on Australia’s General earnings premiership with $2.5 million prizemoney.
