Admire Mars #1 on First Season Sires’ table

Arrowfield shuttler Admire Mars has shot to the top of Japan’s First Season Sires’ premiership with 9 winners of ten races and total prizemoney of ¥111 million (~A$1.1 million).

His latest winner Namura Clara (pink cap, pale blue silks) won a 2YO Newcomers race over 1400m at Chukyo last Saturday.

Namura Clara (ex Sun Queen by Storm Cat, from the family of champion sire Machiavellian) is a half-sister to the multiple Group-winning sprinter Namura Clair (by Mikki Isle).

Other JRA winners by Admire Mars include the Northern Farm-bred fillies Jardinier (two wins at 1600m & 1800m), Embroidery (scored by 7 lengths, setting a new 2YO track record at Niigata) & Blue Sunset (won by 3 lengths over 1200m at Chukyo); and the colts Mokara Mars, Mars Odyssey & Seiun Big Bang – all successful on debut.

The first Australian 2YOs by Admire Mars will run this season and 17 have already been named including:
