North & South success for Redoute's Choice 2YOs

Sheikh Mohammed‘s northern time filly Galician (GB) completed a dual hemisphere 2YO double for champion sire Redoute’s Choice when she scored over six furlongs in England yesterday.

Redoute’s Choice’s southern time daughter No Looking Back (ex Mirror Mirror by Dehere) won nicely on debut over 1000 metres at Warwick Farm and stamped herself as a live prospect for the 2012 $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic (R) LR on 14 January. Arrowfield Magic Millions graduate Blazing Snitzel ( Snitzel -Trois Couleurs by Carnegie), completed a quinella for the Waterhouse stable.

No Looking Back was a $500,000 purchase by Gai Waterhouse from the Strawberry Hill Stud draft at the 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale. Her dam won the 2006 Magic Millions 2YO Classic and is from the excellent “Tennessee” family that has most recently produced G1 winner Aloha.

Galician was conceived in Australia, foaled in England and lined up at Kempton as favourite yesterday at her third start from the Mark Johnston stable. She tracked the leader in the early part of the race, took the lead more than a furlong out and comfortably held out her opposition to win by a length.

Redoute’s Choice has 13 lots in the 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale, including Arrowfield’s colt from Hustle Bustle. .
