Written Tycoon banks his 41st stakeswinner
Kissonallforcheeks left no doubt about her readiness to be Written Tycoon’s 41st stakeswinner when she powered to victory in Saturday’s $100,000 Perth Racing Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic 1400m LR.
Trained by Dan Morton, the 3YO filly flagged her ability with two wins in Perth as a late 2YO. She progressed to a campaign debut win in October before running a close second to Snickerdoodledandy (by Snitzel) in the Burgess Queen S. LR in early November.

Kissonallforcheeks was bred by Graham Daws from the fine racemare Rosie Rocket (by Blackfriars), whose record features two wins in Listed company and a Group 1 placing. Mr Daws is also the owner-breeder of the multiple stakeswinner and outstanding broodmare Most Secret, dam of four stakeswinners including the Group 1-winning Arrowfield broodmare and stakes producer Covertly.
Morton Racing’s $120,000 bid for the filly secured her from the Newhaven Park draft at the 2019 Magic Millions Sale. Newhaven Park also sold Written Tycoon’s Group 1-winning daughter Odeum at the same sale.
Written Tycoon, a most welcome guest at Arrowfield in 2020, has notched up 10 stakeswinners (including Group 1 winners Odeum, Ole Kirk & Pippie) of 12 Group & Listed Races this season, giving him the Premiership lead on those metrics. By earnings, he’s a clear second, splitting Not A Single Doubt and I Am Invincible.
Written Tycoon has a quality draft of 44 yearlings on offer at Magic Millions 2021, including three colts from Woodside Park Stud and a colt out of Grito in Arrowfield’s consignment.
