The standout sire of stallion prospects…

When Shinzo won the Golden Slipper G1 on 18 March he became Snitzel’s 12th Group 1-winning colt and a very attractive stallion prospect for Coolmore Stud.

The most commercial stallion prospects are obviously Group 1 winners, or at the very least Group 2 winners. Snitzel has 22 Group 1/Group 2-winning colts, while Exceed and Excel (sire of the Golden Slipper runner-up Cylinder) has a still exceptional 14 (Southern Hemisphere).

To underline the magnitude of Snitzel’s tally of 22 Group 1/Group 2-winning colts: it is more than I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Written Tycoon, Pierro and So You Think – combined. What’s more, 21 of those Snitzel colts achieved their status as 2YOs or 3YOs.

Even more importantly, Snitzel has 10 sons that have sired stakeswinners, 6 of them sold by Arrowfield.

24 Snitzel colts will be offered at next week’s Inglis Easter Sale, 6 of them consigned by Arrowfield.
