The Showtimes are showing up!
No sooner had Showtime recorded his milestone first winner, 2YO filly Show Royale at Bendigo, than his son Tacito overcame a wide draw to finish strongly for third in the Talindert S. 1100m LR at Flemington. He filled the same position in the Chairman’s S. G3 on debut at Sandown two weeks ago.
Extremely happy to see Show Royale win on debut today. This 2yo filly was purchased for 85k at the Classic Sale last year and looks to have a bright future. #Showtime gets on the board as a stallion 🎯 pic.twitter.com/R4WakRkuk0

Show Royale was bred and sold by Goodwood Farm and is the last foal out of Ducey Du (by Royal Academy), a half-sister of Group 2 winner Acey Ducey.
The Makybe-bred Tacito (ex Without Saying by Sepoy) was a $160,000 Magic Millions purchase from Lime Country Thoroughbreds by Lindsay Park Racing and he holds nominations for the Blue Diamond, Golden Slipper & Inglis Sires.
Without Saying, from a half-sister to Redoute’s Choice, has a colt foal by Showtime and is in foal to him again.
As it happens, Showtime has posted his first stakes performer a little earlier in his career than his champion sire Snitzel – whose stakes record was opened by Chance Bye in the Silver Slipper G2 on 27 February 2009.
His 8 early first-crop runners also include the city-placed colts Arbat (at Doomben) and Big Boy George (at Randwick).
Showtime has joined two other sons of Snitzel, Trapeze Artist and Stratosphere, in Australia’s current top 10 First Season Sires.
His second-crop yearlings have so far sold up to $100,000 and next month he has a colt & a filly on offer at the Inglis Premier Sale, and 5 lots catalogued for Magic Millions Adelaide.
