The Magic Millions numbers that matter

Seven $1 million+ yearlings by Arrowfield sires.
Not A Single Doubt on top of the Sires table with an average price of $619,375 for 16 yearlings sold. 
Total sales of $13.4 million puts Arrowfield on top of the Vendors table.
And all 42 yearlings offered by Arrowfield have sold, with three final Book 1 lots going through the ring on Saturday evening. 

After four days of buoyant & lively business at Magic Millions 2021, these numbers matter. 

But there’s another number that matters too.

That’s the number of Arrowfield-sired runners contesting 7 of the nine races on Saturday’s $10.25 million Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday.

Four-time Champion Sire Snitzel has 11 runners, including his two previous Magic Millions 2YO Classic winners, Exhilarates (one of four Snitzel progeny in the $1 million Snippets) and Away Game who returns for the $2 million 3YO Guineas RL.

Not A Single Doubt’s six Magic Millions runners include Arrowfield graduate Mura Mura and Queen Of Wizardry in the $2 million  2YO Classic RL and Gotta Kiss in the Guineas. 

Dundeel is represented by a pair of Arrowfield graduates: Profit in the $250,000 Magic Millions Open over 1800 metres, and Pure Deal in the $1 million Magic Millions Subzero over 2400 metres.

Shalaa’s first-crop son Shaquero bids to add the 2YO Classic to his Breeders’ Plate G3 victory in the Spring.

Redoute’s Choice, whose final Magic Millions yearlings have averaged almost $475,000 this week, has Redoute’s Image in the Guineas and Redouble attempting to repeat his 2019 $1 million Magic Millions Cup victory.

Arrowfield graduate Animate, by the Stud’s former shuttler Animal Kingdom, backs up in the Cup following his Magic Millions Country Cup win last Saturday. 

The Magic Millions racing action starts at 12:15 pm, with the final session of the Book 1 sale scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm (7:00 pm AEDT).
