Syreon & Bliss Street make 83 SW for Flying Spur
Members of champion sire Flying Spur ‘s 2003 and 2008 crops have taken his season tally of stakeswinners to nine, and his lifetime total to 83.

7YO gelding Syreon (ex Sorrento by Just A Dancer) won the $125,000 ATC Queen’s Cup 2000m G3 at Rosehill this afternoon for owners Bob & Anne-Marie Ruttley. Bred and sold by Vinery Stud, Syreon was bought for $100,000 by Anne-Marie at the 2005 Magic Millions Premier Sale, and has been trained by Chris Waller to win almost three times that figure in a six-win, 23-start career.
A few hours later in Perth, 2YO filly Bliss Street (ex Jade Diva by Jade Robbery) confirmed the promise of her maiden win ten days ago with a two-length victory in the $200,000 W.A. Sires’ Produce S. 1400m G3, beating previous stakeswinner Single Spice (by Not A Single Doubt ) and Valley Girl. Raced by Eddie Rigg’s Geisel Park Stud in partnership with Bliss Street’s breeders, Yarraman Park Stud, Mrs J.B. Rea, & R. M. MacArthur-Onslow, the filly is trained by Danny Morton.
Flying Spur has 31 yearlings in the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale which begins in Sydney on Tuesday morning. They include five fillies and a colt in the Arrowfield draft .
