Stakes double for Redoute’s Choice sons
Champion sire Redoute’s Choice has made a quick start to the new season and his sire sons haven’t been slouching around either. Two of them notched up an interstate stakes double today.

Nadeem posted his second stakeswinner when 3YO colt Specter (ex Woman in White by Daylami) won the Henry Buck’s-sponsored VRC Exford Plate 1400m LR in Melbourne. Nadeem’s first stakeswinner, the filly Triple Asset, was last week named Tasmanian 2YO of the Year following her four-win juvenile season.
Stratum was represented in Sydney by 3YO filly Streama (ex Pensiamo by Sovereign Red) who narrowly defeated Redoute’s Choice filly Florentina in the ATC Furious S. 1400m G2. Winner of the ATC Keith Mackay H. LR at two, Streama is one of eight stakeswinners by the 2005 Golden Slipper winner who has begun his stud career by claiming Australia’s first & second season sire titles.
Redoute’s Choice already has eight stakes-siring sons and he stands at Arrowfield alongside two of them, Not A Single Doubt (sire of 6 SW), and Snitzel (4 SW). Newcomer Beneteau serves his first book of mares at Arrowfield this spring.
Redoute’s Choice has taken an early lead on the 2011/12 Australian General Sires’ table, with almost $900,00 prizemoney after today’s racing, and 27 individual winners, headed by last weekend’s Memsie S. G2 winner King’s Rose.
