Redoute’s Choice cleans up in June Stakes

Arrowfield graduate She’s Clean extended her excellent 4YO season with a quality win in today’s $100,000 ATC June S. 1200m LR.

The 4YO daughter of champion sire Redoute’s Choice scored by a half-length in race record time of 1.11.46. She has now won eight of her 16 starts, and prizemoney of $416,420, and notably defeated multiple Group 1 winner Appearance in February’s ATC Triscay S. LR.

She’s Clean is trained for Ingham Racing by Chris Waller, whose stable enjoyed a stellar day, with three Group winners at Eagle Farm, including the Group 1 Queensland Derby winner Hawkspur.

She’s Clean was ridden by New Zealand jockey Jason Collett who said, “We had plan A and plan B and I actually said to Peter [Muscutt, stable foreman] when I got on the horse that I might try and take a few shortcuts.”

“Opportunities came and I was pretty quick to take them up. She wants to win, she pins her ears back and she tries. When I brought her outside of the second horse (Neeson) you have your doubts and you don’t think that you will pick them up but she digs in.”

She’s Clean is from the stakes-placed winner Feather Duster (by End Sweep), a half-sister to Champion Japanese Sprinter/Miler Kinshasa No Kiseki and Catshaan, the dam of Australian Oaks G1 winner Absolutely (also by Redoute’s Choice). Feather Duster’s yearling filly by Flying Spur was passed in at this year’s Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale; she has a weanling filly by Not A Single Doubt and is in foal to him again.

She’s Clean is part of an outstanding tally of 20 worldwide stakeswinners this season for Redoute’s Choice who stands the 2013 season at Arrowfield at a fee of $137,500 inc. GST.
