Record auction price for Not A Single Doubt

A record auction price of more than $A550,000 was paid today for a son of Not A Single Doubt at the Hong Kong International Sale.

The 3YO gelding from Time To Move (by Canny Lad) was sold for $HK3.9 million to Chao Kuang Piu. That’s the equivalent of $A553,191, well above the $300,000 paid for the Not A Single Doubt-Euchre yearling colt at this year’s Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.

The Time To Move gelding was a $120,000 purchase by the Hong Kong Racing Club from Arrowfield’s Bellerive Stud draft in the 2012 Melbourne Sale.

Time To Move, a winning half-sister to prolific Sydney winner and stakeswinner With A Chance, is already the dam of Make Your Move (also by Not A Single Doubt), a multiple winner and stakes-placed in Perth. She has a 2YO filly by All American, bought for $82,000 from Arrowfield’s 2013 Melbourne Sale draft by Barrie & Midge Griffiths, and a yearling filly by Beneteau.

This spring Gypsy Diamond and Risen From Doubt have increased Not A Single Doubt’s career tally of stakeswinners to 19, and he  is currently headed only by his Arrowfield barn-mate Snitzel on the Australian 2YO Sires’ list.

The 2014 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale catalogue features 33 lots by Not A Single Doubt, among them 2 fillies and a colt offered by Arrowfield Stud.
