Not A Single Doubt about his value

Not A Single Doubt ‘s 2010 fee of $13,750 (inc. GST) is looking better value every day, as he keeps adding progressive winners and fresh wins to his record.

Last Saturday, a pair of smart two-year-olds highlighted his worth with impressive wins in Sydney and Melbourne.

No Hesitation (ex Three Cheers by Peintre Celebre) took his record to three wins from seven starts and, by picking up a $100,000 Inglis Race Bonus, took his earnings beyond $250,000. That’s a very healthy return on the $20,000 trainer Clarry Connors paid for him at the 2009 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, where he was presented by Bellerive Stud on behalf of his breeders Nils Miller, Mark Kennedy, Jon Adgemis, Mark Swadling and Jeffery Gattone.

Spirited Eagle (ex Residenzia by Carnegie; bred by Arrowfield Pastoral Pty Ltd & Belford Productions) stepped up from Adelaide company to win handsomely at Sandown after jockey Clare Lindop found a sweet rails run for him in the straight. Spirited Eagle was bought by Adrian Hancock for $85,000 from the Arrowfield draft at the 2009 Magic Millions Premier Yearling Sale and has now won three of his five starts for his owners, renowned winemaker Wolf Blass and his wife Shirley Nyberg-Blass.

Not A Single Doubt is currently 3rd (by wins, with 37) and 7th (by earnings, with $1.75 million) on the Australian 2nd Season Sires’ list, a cohort of stallions that is proving highly competitive. The top ten sires on the prizemoney list have accumulated $25.8 million, almost twice the $13.3 million earned by the leading sophomore sires of 2008-09.
