Making magic memories
It’s been a spectacular year for the owners, buyers & trainers of Arrowfield yearling sale graduates which have won 6 major Group 1 3YO Classics in 2024:
Magic Millions purchase Private Life (Caulfield Guineas)
Autumn Angel (Australian Oaks)
Celestial Legend (Randwick Guineas & Doncaster Mile)
Lady Shenandoah (Flight Stakes)
& Switzerland (Coolmore Stud Stakes).
Add the work of 14 other Arrowfield sale graduates and the tally rises to 29 Group & Listed Race victories this year alone – including Snitzanova’s Sandown Guineas G2 win on Saturday.
Over the past decade 102 Arrowfield sale graduates have won 180 Group & Listed Races, and they include 27 winners of 36 Group 1 races.
And that doesn’t include new generation race successes like Count De Rupee’s The Gong and Ostraka’s Silver Eagle.
Arrowfield has dreams ready to be chosen and memories waiting to be made from its Magic Millions 2025 draft, in every category, starting with The Elite Colts.
20 commercially active stallions in Australia & New Zealand were purchased from Arrowfield as yearlings. Among them are Magic Millions graduates Anders, Hitotsu, Invader (sire of G1 winner Sunshine In Paris) & Profondo and Group 1 sires Alabama Express, Castelvecchio & The Autumn Sun as well as Ardrossan, Tagaloa & Super Seth.
When Tom Magnier’s $650,000 Magic Millions 2023 purchase Private Life led all the way in the 2024 Caulfield Guineas G1, he became Arrowfield’s 5th graduate winner of the Classic, and a valuable prospective stallion.
The prestige and windfall profits from racing “a big colt” aren’t limited to buyers at the top end of the Magic Millions sale – just ask Kevin & Vikki Payne who bought triple Classic winner Hitotsu from Arrowfield at Magic Millions 2020 for $100,000.
Arrowfield has 24 colts catalogued for Magic Millions 2025 by Snitzel, Dundeel, Maurice, The Autumn Sun, Castelvecchio, Admire Mars, Palace Pier, Shamus Award, St Mark’s Basilica & Written Tycoon.
