Make it Legendary at Inglis Classic

Build your own legend with an Arrowfield Inglis Classic yearling – a super-precocious two-year-old or a Group 1 three-year-old miler, a filly with high residual value or an elite colt.

Like Celestial Legend, the 2024 Group 1 Randwick Guineas & Doncaster Mile hero.

Or Castelvecchio, the Inglis Millennium & Group 1 Champagne Stakes winner at two, Rosehill Guineas winner & Cox Plate runner-up at three – and now a hot young Group 1 sire.

Like Maid Of Heaven, Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes winner at her fifth start, and her first two sale yearlings have sold for a total of $700,000.

Or Lady In Pink who progressed last Spring from city-class mare to Group 2 winner on one of Melbourne’s biggest racedays.

Plus Group 3 winners Jennilala & Kibou, and Listed winners Ganbare, Katsu & Namesake – all purchased from Arrowfield at Inglis Classic in the past 5 years.

Best of all, they didn’t cost the earth. Maid Of Heaven was a $60,000 purchase. Jennilala was bought for $70,000 and Namesake, knocked down at $100,000.

$2.9 million earner Castelvecchio, Lady In Pink, Katsu & Kibou were all secured for less than $180,000.

Celestial Legend was a little more expensive at $220,000 – but he’s a dual Group 1-winning colt and his prizemoney so far totals $3.4 million.

Arrowfield’s Bloodstock Manager Jon Freyer picks out 6 lots to kick off Inglis Classic 2025 buyers’ short-lists:

Lot 208 – The Autumn Sun-Fairouz colt
“First foal of a beautifully bred Dubawi mare, he’s a high-class colt with lovely scope and depth and a good action.”

Lot 404 – Palace Pier-Maid Of Heaven filly
“This filly hails from Classic Sale royalty. Her Group 1-winning dam was a Classic Sale graduate the year before her spectacular half-brother Castelvecchio. This big, imposing, lengthy filly is so like her mother at the same age. Best filly page in the book.”

Lot 427 – Farnan-Miss Guggenheim colt
“A well-made, neat colt similar in type to his sire. First foal of a talented racemare who was most unlucky not to get black type after mixing it with the best fillies and mares in Group company.”

Lot 541 – The Autumn Sun-Princess Mars filly
“The Autumn Sun fillies have taken all before them and this filly is the right type. Good deep shoulder and walk. Her dam is a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner and Classic Sale graduate Contentment.”

Lot 692 – Maurice-Stylish Beauty filly
“Strong filly with good scope and a great hip to her. From a young half-sister to Hong Kong Champion Beauty Generation, winner of $18 million and 20 races including 10 in succession and 8 Group Ones. Great residual value post a racing career.”

Lot 696 – Snitzel-Sultry Dreamer colt
“Compact, racy colt by Champion Sire Snitzel and a three-quarter brother to the exciting Mr Artemesia, who started at single-figure odds in the G1 JJ Atkins behind Broadsiding. Excellent mover and cast in the mould of so many Snitzel two-year-olds.”
