Life is Miraculous in Blue Diamond Preview

Not A Single Doubt began the week as the sire of the equal top-priced lot at the Inglis Classic Sale, and he ends it with a new star in the making, his 12th stakeswinner Miracles of Life.

The 2YO filly announced her arrival in Melbourne today with a dazzling win in a strong renewal of the $120,000 MRC Blue Diamond Fillies Preview 1000m LR.

Muzaffar Yaseen‘s homebred filly jumped well from barrier 6 and travelled sweetly behind the early leaders until asked to acclerate around them on the turn.

Miracles of Life responded instantly and romped clear to win by 4.25 lengths in a 57.39 seconds – 0.72 seconds faster than the Colts Preview. Her performance was franked by runner-up Diamond Glow and third-placed Swing Vote, both impressive debut winners three weeks ago in Melbourne and Sydney.

Miracles of Life is now the $3.30 TAB favourite for the $1 million MRC Blue Diamond S. G1 on 23 February.

She is Not A Single Doubt’s second 2YO stakeswinner this season, following the equally impressive Villa Verde, an early favourite for the Golden Slipper S. G1. They are among six 2YO stakeswinners by the son of Redoute’s Choice.

The compact chestnut filly is the first foal of Dazzling Gazelle, an unraced daughter of More Than Ready and Snippets’ Jewel. Mr Yaseen’s Teeley Assets purchased Snippets’ Jewel for $210,000 from Vinery Stud in 2005. Dazzling Gazelle is based at Bellerive Stud where she is due to foal again to Not A Single Doubt in August.

Although Miracles of Life is not nominated for the Blue Diamond, she has, after 3 wins from 3 starts, earned enough to pay the late entry fee of $55,000. Her trainer Daniel Clarken said, “We’ll get her home and see how she pulls up first, that’s the most important thing and then we’ll go from there. But it looks like she deserves a late entry to me.

“It was three weeks into this run today. I think she’ll now go straight into the Blue Diamond.”

Teeley Assets’ colours of “Yellow, red square, orange & pale green hooped sleeves, red & yellow quartered cap” have been seen before in the Blue Diamond winner’s circle. They were carried to a memorable victory in 1999 by Mr Yaseen’s champion colt – and Miracles of Life’s paternal grandsire – Redoute’s Choice.
