Hat Trick for Not A Single Doubt Filly
Talented three year-old filly My Cookie Monster maintained her unbeaten record when she posted her third successive win at Warwick Farm on Tuesday.
A winner at Gundagai and Wagga at her two previous starts as short priced favourite, the Matthew Dale trained filly handled the class rise to metropolitan company overcoming an outside draw to score a tenacious win in the 1100 metre restricted event for fillies.
A $135,000 purchase for Rapture Farm from the draft of Bell River Thoroughbreds at the 2008 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, My Cookie Monster was the third highest priced filly from her sire’s first crop of yearlings.
She is the first foal of the End Sweep (USA) mare Sierra Nevada, who comes from the family of stakes-winning fillies Dazzling Flyer and French Flute.
My Cookie Monster is one of seven winners since the start of the season for Not a Single Doubt, who was the leading first crop sire last season by winners.
The least expensive stallion on the Arrowfield roster at a fee of $13,750, Not a Single Doubt has been very popular with breeders covering some 161 mares last spring and is equally busy this year.
