Written Tycoon’s 5YO daughter Pippie earned admiration for her record-setting, all-the-way Oakleigh Plate G1 win under handicap conditions in February.

Now she’s gained serious respect with a scorching 58.39-second victory in the weight-for-age $1 million MVRC A.J. Moir S. 1000m G1., defeating Trekking & Bella Vella.

In the process, she has become the first two-time Group 1 winner for her outstanding sire who moves into second spot on the current Australian General Sires’ Premiership with progeny earnings of $2.1 million and six stakes performers.

Pippie’s jockey Damian Lane said, “I’ve never been on one quicker early, just how clean she is from the stalls and how easily she does it.

“You just give her some rein out of the barriers and then lay on her neck and she does the rest for you.

“I actually thought I was in a little bit of trouble on the corner when she came off the bridle, but when I asked her for her maximum effort she really dug in again.”

Bred by Eureka Cambooya Thoroughbreds, Pippie is out of city winner Coupe Express (by Nureyev’s son Ne Coupez Pas) and was bought for $60,000 by trainers John & Chris Meagher at the 2017 Inglis Classic Sale.

Her six-win, 12-start, $1.2 million career has already been a great success for her Brisbane owners Glenn & Marty Heran, but Pippie’s current form puts her right on course for a truly memorable Spring campaign. (As an aside, the Heran brothers also raced Arrowfield graduate Startsmeup with notable success several years ago.)

Pippie’s second Group 1 win was only the start of a a stunning weekend for Written Tycoon!
