Elite Aga Khan mares to visit Redoute’s Choice

Redoute’s Choice has travelled safely from Australia and arrived in France yesterday. He was accompanied by his groom Pierre-Hugues Henry, who will remain with him for the entire season, and Arrowfield’s senior vet Wendy Perriam.

The two-time Australian Champion sire is shuttling for the first time and he will stand the 2013 Northern Hemisphere season at the Aga Khan’s French stud Haras de Bonneval.

Redoute’s Choice is due to cover a limited book of 100 top class mares. The Aga Khan Studs will send a selection of fifteen elite broodmares (see the full list below), headed by the unbeaten Arc winner Zarkava. She will be joined by last year’s Group 1 winners Shareta and Sagawara.

Other notable Aga Khan mares booked to Redoute’s Choice include the young Group 1-winning mares Rosanara and Daryakana. The dams of Group 1 winners Shalanaya and Vadawina have also been selected to visit the champion sire.

To date, Redoute’s Choice has sired 21 Group 1 winners, 97 stakeswinners and currently boasts exceptional lifetime statistics of 75.6% winners to runners and 11.5% stakeswinners to runners.

His first public appearance in France will be on Sunday 3 February, when he will parade at the Stud’s open day alongside multiple Group 1 sire Sinndar and juvenile Group 1 winner Siyouni.
