Eleven winners in 7 days for Not A Single Doubt

“Sorry, Stratum, nice work on the new stakeswinner, but I’ve got a couple of lengths on you in the recent winners department.”

That’s Not A Single Doubt , interviewed this morning after Breednet’s news story on the latest success of Stratum (another of Redoute’s Choice ‘s 10 stakes-siring sons).

A quick check of Breednet’s handy table tracking the top sires by their most recent run of winners confirms Not A Single Doubt’s assertion.

He’s had 11 winners in New Zealand & six states of Australia during the past seven days, including 7 last weekend and a pair of smart 4YO winners yesterday, Flash of Doubt at Sandown and Brown Doubt at Newcastle.

Grazing happily in his paddock at Arrowfield this morning after serving his first mare for the day, Not A Single Doubt said, “If I say so myself, yesterday’s winners are typical of my tribe, really genuine & professional competitors that everyone wants to have in their stable.”

Flash of Doubt, bred by Summerset Park Stud, South Australia, won by two lengths over 1000 metres, taking her record to 5 wins, five placings and more than $116,000 from 14 starts.

A $17,000 purchase by Doncaster Bloodstock from the 2010 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale, the 4YO mare is trained by Robbie Griffths for Maurice Sinclair, Colin Bell, Mandy Hunnam, Victorian Equine Tuition Services, Wally Trautsch, The Band Of Brothers, Rob Davey & Graeme Colless.

Brown Doubt won by a similar margin over 1200 metres at Newcastle for a group of owners including David Agius, Troy Clarke, John Drew, Maurice Melville, David Reid, Nathan Snow & Andrew Weinman. The 4YO gelding was bred by the late Bruce Reid and is trained by David Pfieffer who paid $40,000 for him at the 2010 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.

Not A Single Doubt’s latest streak of success also includes last Saturday’s Adelaide winner My Ex Mate (his 8th victory from 20 starts), and 3YO Not A Single Drop, who justified his favouritism to break his maiden in Perth.

A last word from the proud sire as he basks in the Hunter Valley spring sunshine: “Don’t forget the latest of my 10 stakeswinners, Cavallo Pazzo, and that super-impressive debut 2YO winner in New Zealand!”

Not A Single Doubt’s strong start to the season has put him in 7th position on the Australian General Sires’ list with $685,330 and 22 individual winners. His 2012 fee is $24,750 inc. GST.
