Don’t miss this Arrowfield dozen at Melbourne Premier

Arrowfield last sold yearlings under our own banner at Inglis Melbourne Premier in 2016, and we’re delighted to return this week with 12 lots in the drafts of Rhys & Chloe Smith’s Kulani Park (9) and John & Trish Muir’s Milburn Creek (3), managed by Scott Holcombe. We’re very grateful for the support of these highly professional and well-respected vendors.

Buyers have achieved outstanding success with Arrowfield-bred & -raised yearlings from past Melbourne Premier Sales with these horses bought for prices ranging from $25,000 to $310,000:

  • Group 1 winners – HOT SNITZEL, KENEDNA, SNITZERLAND, Singapore Champion STEPITUP and Australian Horse of the Year WEEKEND HUSSLER
  • Group winners – ALIYANA TILDE, ARDROSSAN, BLIZZARD, FLYING SNITZEL & HONORINE
  • Listed winners – AZAZEL, BURNSTONE, CRACK A ROADIE, EXCUSE MY FRENCH, GOLD FORCE, ROAD TRIPPIN’ and SMOKO.

A notable feature of that list of graduates is that five were from Champion Sire Snitzel’s early, before-he-was-famous crops. There’s a similar opportunity this year to purchase Arrowfield brand-bearers by our next generation sires Dundeel (already the sire of 5 Group 1 winners), Maurice (currently the leading 2nd Season Sire in Japan), Shaquero’s sire Shalaa, and popular first-crop sire Pariah.

Arrowfield’s offering also includes the only yearling in the Sale by Japan’s leading active sire (and sire of Blue Diamond G1 winner Tagaloa) Lord Kanaloa, from 2YO Group winner Believe Yourself, a grand-daughter of Champion 2YO filly Good Faith. This is a terrific family that keeps on throwing quality performers including Aegon, the Group 1-winning New Zealand 3YO and brilliant winner of last Saturday’s ATC Hobartville S. G2.

The 2021 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale begins at 10 am on Sunday 28 February.
