It was an effort that certainly impressed jockey Craig Newitt, as reported by Matthew Toogood.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve come to the races that confident about one. She’s pretty good. Well above average.
“She’s just a little professional. She jumped on the bunny. She sat in the middle of the track which isn’t easy to do for a two-year-old and she was never going to get beaten.”
Trainer Mick Price indicated that Isabella Snowflake will race on to the end of the season and aim at the early 3YO fillies’ stakes races. She has already opened her bank account with a healthy deposit of $42,700 prizemoney plus a $23,000 SuperVOBIS bonus.
A powerfully made type, Isabella Snowflake is out of the winning Strategic mare Tiamo Baby, from the family of multiple Melbourne Group winner Vonanne.
Not A Single Doubt’s 15 stakes performers in 2011/12 include seven 2YOs: the stakeswinners Single Style & Cheyenne Warrior and stakes-placed Dominant, Princeton Miss, Substation, Tennessee Wills and Lionize (in South Africa).
Not A Single Doubt is 6th on the Australian 2YO Sires’ list and Isabella Snowflake’s win takes his season earnings on that table beyond the $1 million mark. The brilliant son of Redoute’s Choice stands in 2012 at a fee of $24,750 inc. GST.
