Beneteau arrives safely in Melbourne

Promising youngster BENETEAUhas arrived safe and well in Melbourne as he prepares for the G1 Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Stakes.

The colt, a $1 million yearling by Redoute’s Choice, made his anticipated debut at Randwick on Australia Day where he went straight to the lead and although green was far too classy for his rivals.

After pulling up so well trainer Paul Messara decided to pursure the Blue Diamond and the colt arrived in Melbourne and has worked at Caulfield this morning.

Daniel Ganderton has ridden Beneteau in both trials and at his only start and Messara said he will retain the ride in this Saturday’s G3 Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Prelude.

Following his impressive win the colt’s Diamond Price was slashed to $8.00, sharing the second line of betting with Crystal Lily and Star Witness(by Starcraft), while Secession retains favourtism at $7.00.
