Arrowfield graduate Doubtland scores for Orbis
Not A Single Doubt’s tremendous season continued on Day 1 of The Championships when his 71st stakeswinner Doubtland raced away with the $200,000 ATC Kindergarten S. 1100m G3.
Godolphin colt Jerle was 2nd and another Group-winning Not A Single Doubt colt, Not An Option was third.

Doubtland is the 56th Arrowfield graduate stakeswinner from major Australian yearling sales since 2013, and the 9th to score in black type company this season.
He also completes a sequence of six Sydney Group victories – including Farnan’s Golden Slipper – in the past seven weeks for his now-retired sire.
Jockey Brenton Avdulla said, “He is a quality colt and I am sure he has got a really bright future.”
That future will, hopefully, be pursued in the Spring as Michael Hawkes explained. “He’s a Group winner now, he’s worth a lot of money and he can go and have a break and he’ll come back as a lovely, lovely three-year-old.”
Doubtland was bred by Arrowfield and GSA Bloodstock from Miss Sharapova, a Group-placed half-sister to high-class Group-winning sprinter Villa Verde and dam of Listed winner Pretty Fast – both by Not A Single Doubt.
Orbis Bloodstock was the successful bidder at $1.1 million for Doubtland at the 2019 Inglis Easter Sale and sent him to the Hawkes stable, also trainers of Arrowfield graduates Estijaab, Showtime, Wild Planet & Diplomatico.
Miss Sharapova has a yearling filly by Shalaa, a weanling colt by Snitzel and is in foal to Dundeel.
As for Not A Single Doubt, he remains at the top of the 2YO Sires’ Premiership with $3.7 million, just ahead of his Champion barn-mate Snitzel with $3.4 million.
