A Dashing new graduate stakeswinner
3YO filly Dashing Legend lived up to her name with a stylish maiden stakes victory in Saturday’s $160,000 ATC Fireball S. 1100m LR at Randwick.
A $380,000 purchase by Bon Ho from Arrowfield’s 2021 Inglis Easter draft, Dashing Legend is Stakeswinner No 132 for Snitzel, and his 15th this season.
Bred by the Arrowfield-Northern Farm partnership, the 3YO filly is one of the Stud’s 22 graduate stakes performers in 2022/23.

Co-trainer Michael Hawkes said, “She’s a high calibre horse we have held in high regard since she was a baby. She has started to come to the fore and is going somewhere.”
That “somewhere” may include a return appearance at Randwick on Day 2 of The Championships for either the Arrowfield 3YO Sprint G2 or the Queen of the Turf S. G1.
Dashing Legend is the fourth foal of dual stakeswinner Kneeling (by Encosta de Lago), and a full sister of Listed winner Bend The Knee.
Kneeling has a 2YO filly by The Autumn Sun & a weanling filly by Maurice and is in foal to Dundeel.
Group 1-winning colts Invader, Sword Of State and Summer Passage are also among the 7 stakeswinners bred on the Snitzel/Encosta de Lago cross.
Snitzel has six fillies and a colt for sale at Inglis Premier and 40 yearlings catalogued for Inglis Easter – 12 of them consigned by Arrowfield.
