2YO Daughter dances a Tango at Geelong

Redoute’s Choice made it three 2YO winners in two days when Tango’s Daughter scored easily at Geelong today for the Mick Price stable.

Sent for a spell after an unplaced debut behind Miracles of Life in the MRC Blue Diamond Preview LR, Tango’s Daughter won the 1000-metre maiden by more than four lengths in 57.75 seconds.

Like Miracles of Life, and yesterday’s Moonee Valley winner Brand New Choice, Tango’s Daughter is a home-bred for Teeley Assets. She was offered for sale in the Bellerive Stud consignment at the 2012 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale but did not reach her reserve price, so was retained.

Tango’s Daughter has something else in common with Brand New Choice: she is also from an Anabaa mare, in this case the city winner Tango Fire, a grand-daughter of English stakeswinner Oakmead.

Tango Fire has a yearling colt by Redoute’s Choice, foaled to Northern Hemisphere time, and is due to foal this spring to Manhattan Rain.
