Arrowfield roster assembles for Open House

Arrowfield’s 2017 shuttle stallions have now arrived at the farm, ready to parade for guests and visitors at next week’s Open House.

Champion European 2YO colt Shalaa arrived last week from Haras de Bouqeutot in France and will impress everyone who sees him. He truly lives up to his billing as “An outstanding individual, by one of the best European sires and from a most precocious maternal family.”

This week’s arrivals are Animal Kingdom, soon to serve his fourth Australian book; Real Impact, making his second trip south; and newcomers Maurice & Mikki Isle.

Animal Kingdom is right on target to hit it out of the park in Australia this season. His six first-crop 2YO winners have given him a fine start in Australia and he has already left two first-crop stakeswinners, Sunny Skies and Continental Divide, in the United Sates.

Dual Group 1 winner Real Impact arrived only a few days after his first Arrowfield foal was born and what a cracker she is. The striking brown filly (pictured left) out of  the Flying Spur mare Laissez Faire made her debut on 13 August and has plenty of dad’s quality about her.

There is much to like about the bottom half of her pedigree too. It’s full of quality female performers & producers like Colorado Claire (dam of Gunnison), Lunaspur (dam of Moonovermanhattan) and Bubble Below (dam of Lucky Bubbles).

Japan’s 2015 Horse of the Year Maurice and 2016 Champion Sprinter-Miler Mikki Isle complete Arrowfield’s triumvirate of Japanese superstars and will serve their first Australian mares this Spring.

Real Impact & Mikki Isle are the only sons of Japanese supersire Deep Impact standing in Australia.

Arrowfield warmly welcomes visitors to inspect its 12-stallion roster headed by Champion Sires Redoute’s Choice & Snitzel during morning and afternoon sessions over three days, as follows:

FRIDAY 25 AUGUST
9am – 12 noon (full stallion parade at 9.30am) & 2pm – 4pm

SATURDAY 26 AUGUST
9am – 12 noon (full parade at 9.30am) & 2pm – 4pm

SUNDAY 27 AUGUST
