Arrowfield announces 2015 Service Fees

Arrowfield Stud today announced the 2015 service fees for its ten-stallion roster, headed by three-time champion sire Redoute’s Choice, represented this season by four Group 1 winners and his 65th seven-figure yearling. Redoute’s Choice is once again available to breeders at a fee of $110,000 inc. GST.

Arrowfield is proud to introduce Al Shaqab Racing’s champion sprinter-miler Olympic Glory with a genetic and performance profile that is already proven in Australia, at the competitive fee of $19,250 inc. GST.

Snitzel has risen to a new level of excellence with a series of outstanding racetrack and sale milestones this season, including new Group 1 winners Sweet Idea and Wandjina and the two Inglis Easter Sale-toppers, purchased for $2.2 million and $1.8 million. Snitzel’s 2015 fee has been set at $88,000 inc. GST.

Not A Single Doubt ended the 2013/14 season as Australia’s leading sire of individual 2YO winners and was represented on Saturday by his 23rd stakeswinner, 2YO filly The Grey Flash, successful in the SAJC Sires’ Produce S. G3. Not A Single Doubt will again stand at a fee of $33,000 inc. GST.

The international racing class and powerful outcross genetics of Animal Kingdom (first foals now weanlings) and Dundeel (first foals due this coming Spring) make them compelling choices for breeders aiming at global markets. Their fees are unchanged at $33,000 inc. GST for Animal Kingdom and $27,500 inc. GST for Dundeel.

Smart Missile’s first yearlings have averaged 7 times service fee across all sales in 2015 with a top price of $700,000 achieved for the colt from Negotiate at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale. However, in keeping with Arrowfield’s policy of raising fees only on the back of racetrack performance, Smart Missile’s 2015 fee is unchanged at $22,000 inc. GST.

The emergence of Manhattan Rain as a sire of Classic and potential Cup and weight-for-age performers, most recently Flemington stakeswinner Manapine, has been noted by buyers who have paid up to $700,000 for his 2015 yearlings. Manhattan Rain’s fee remains at $16,500 inc. GST.

Charge Forward’s season highlights include his 15th stakeswinner, 3YO filly Slightly Sweet, and a solid yearling sale average of almost $80,000 for 22 lots sold with a top price of $180,000. Charge Forward will also stand the 2015 season at $16,500 inc. GST.

All American’s first-crop performers include Group 3 winner Bachman, Group 2-placed Flemington winner Zebulon, stakes-placed filly Tender and city winners Avonaco, Eisenhower & Invisible. His 2015 yearlings have sold up to $120,000 and his Danehill-free status makes him a good match for a wide range of mares at his 2015 fee of $11,000 inc. GST.

Arrowfield Chairman John Messara says, “We are delighted the past year has produced some superlative racing and sales results for our stallions. We have set our service fees to reflect both their achievements and their genuine commercial appeal in the marketplace.

“However, we are also very mindful of the pressures and risks experienced by breeders and so I trust our fees will afford every opportunity to breed profitably. In particular, I believe our new addition Olympic Glory is very competitively priced for a horse of his calibre.

“Nothing gives us more pleasure than seeing our clients achieve their breeding, selling and racing ambitions and our entire team looks forward to helping them make the best decisions for their mares in 2015.”
