Redoute's Choice half-sister to Fiorente born

Ballymacoll Stud in Ireland has welcomed a half-sister by Redoute’s Choice to the 2013 Melbourne Cup G1 winner Fiorente.

Fiorente’s six-win, 20-start, $6.2 million career also included a VRC Australian Cup G1 victory and placings in the Cox Plate, All Aged Stakes & BMW Stakes. He stands at Eliza Park in Victoria.

The dam of Fiorente and the new filly is the unraced Pilsudski mare Desert Bloom, a grandaughter of Ballymacoll Stud’s brilliant racemare and blue hen Hellenic, who produced Group 1 winners Greek Dance, Islington and Mountain High.

As well as Fiorente (by Monsun), Desert Bloom has also produced the winners Masada (Key Of Luck) and Roshanak (Spinning World).

She has a 2YO colt by Fastnet Rock, and is set to visit Cacique this year.

The first crop of European yearlings by Redoute’s Choice will be offered for sale later this year. The three-time Champion Sire, who will not leave Arrowfield again, is now available for a limited number of nominations to Northern Hemisphere time.
