Dundeel is rated Australasia's best entire

Arrowfield’s latest acquisition Dundeel is rated the best entire in Australia and New Zealand this season, and among the top six entire performers in the world.

The latest Longines International World’s Best Racehorse Rankings, covering the period 1 January-4 May, award the champion 4YO son of High Chaparral a figure of 122 in the Intermediate (1900m-2100m) Turf category.

That equals the rating achieved in the same category last year by 2013 New Zealand Horse of the Year Ocean Park.

So far this year in Australia & New Zealand, only the 4YO gelding Lankan Rupee (by Redoute’s Choice) with a figure of 123 is rated above Dundeel, who makes the world’s top 13 performers ahead of Sacred Falls (120), Boban, Carlton House & Fiorente (all on 118).

Among Turf performers in the Intermediate category, Dundeel is  the world’s best entire, ranked behind only the geldings Cirrus des Aigles (France), Designs on Rome (Hong Kong) & Military Attack (Hong Kong), all on 123.

Dundeel, the winner of six Group 1 races from 1600m to 2400m, sealed his world ranking at The Championships last month when he decisively defeated Sacred Falls, Carlton House & Silent Achiever in the 2000-metre ATC Queen Elizabeth S. G1.

Dundeel stands his first season at Arrowfield this year at a fee of $27,500 inc. GST.
