Into the Red goes into the black

Not A Single Doubt’s son Into The Red fulfilled the promise of his outstanding maiden win in August with success in today’s $100,000 BRC Gold Edition Plate 1200m LR.

The 3YO colt is Not A Single Doubt’s 20th stakeswinner, and his third this season after 3YO filly Gypsy Diamond (MVRC Fillies Classic G2) and 2YO colt Risen From Doubt (VRC Maribyrnong Trial S. LR).

Into The Red is prepared by leading Brisbane trainer Kelso Wood for the same group of owners, headed by David Devine, that race Group 1 2YO winner Sizzling (by Snitzel).

The colt has now won two of his five starts and re-couped the $100,000 bid for him by bloodstock agent John Foote at the 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale where he was offered by Goodwood Farm on behalf of breeders Todd McKeon & partners. Todd has also enjoyed success as an owner with another son of Not A Single Doubt, the Sydney stakeswinner Unanimously.

Into The Red is the first stakeswinner among seven winners left by the unraced Clay Hero mare Red Sequin, from the family of Champion Hong Kong Miler Beauty Flash and Champion New Zealand 2YO Maroofity.

Plans are to start the colt in the $150,000 Vo Rogue Plate G3 at Doomben on 28 December before tackling the $1 million Magic Millions Guineas (R) LR at the Gold Coast on 11 January.

Not A Single Doubt has 35 yearlings catalogued for the 2014 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale, including two fillies & a colt in the Arrowfield draft which can be viewed here.
