Redoute's Choice returns to France in 2014

Champion sire Redoute’s Choice will return to the Aga Khan’s Haras de Bonneval for his second northern hemisphere season in 2014.

Redoute’s Choice’s exceptional achievements and continuing high-level success make his renewed presence in Europe a rare opportunity for international breeders.

His progeny recorded two further Classic victories this season, taking his tally of Group 1 winners to 23, including seven 2YOs. Lankan Rupee’s success at Flemington today gives Redoute’s Choice a lifetime record of 107 stakeswinners, more than any other active sire from Australian-conceived progeny, and maintains his exceptional career record of 11.8% stakeswinners to runners.

Redoute’s Choice was the leading sire by average at the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Sale for the ninth consecutive year, and he is the sire of the Helsinge colt which sold for the all-time Australasian record yearling price of $5 million. His lifetime yearling sale average stands at $547,339 (approximately 380,000 euros).

Sons and daughters of Redoute’s Choice have made notable contributions to his legacy this year, among them Group 1 winners Shamus Award (by Snitzel) & Miracles of Life (by Not A Single Doubt), and Sacred Falls & Zoustar (both from Redoute’s Choice mares).

Redoute’s Choice had a very successful first season in 2013 at the Aga Khan Studs where his imposing conformation and excellent temperament attracted widespread admiration.

He served a superlative book of 105 mares in France and those in foal to him include the Aga Khan’s unbeaten Champion filly Zarkava, the dam of Champion mare Goldikova and the sister of leading young French sire Turtle Bowl.

Redoute’s Choice will soon complete his book of 120 mares at Arrowfield Stud and will return to France in January 2014. Georges Rimaud and the team at Haras de Bonneval welcome northern hemisphere season inquiries for him – click here for contact details.
