Sizzling too hot in Gold Edition Plate

Season earnings by Snitzel’s 3YOs went past the million-dollar mark today, after Sizzling asserted his class at Eagle Farm in the $100,000 BRC Gold Edition Plate 1200m LR.

It was the 3YO colt’s sixth win from 11 starts and his first since the BRC T.J. Smith S. G1 in June. Bred by John & Trish Muir’s Milburn Creek Stud, Sizzling has now earned more than $880,000 for his trainer Kelso Wood and his owners who include David & Diane Devine, Mick Power, Neville Morgan & Leigh Matthews.

The son of Admirelle (by General Nediym) is one of four stakeswinners by Snitzel this season, after multiple Group-winning filly Snitzerland, Melbourne stakeswinner Pronto Pronto, and recent Sydney stakeswinner Malavio.

Sizzling was purchased for $260,000 by leading agent John Foote at the 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale. This year’s Magic Millions catalogue feature 24 yearlings by Snitzel, among them two fillies and a colt in the Arrowfield draft .
