Not A Single Doubt 2YO blasts home at Kranji

A day after Isabella Snowflake‘s debut win at Flemington came yet another strong jvenile winner for Not A Single Doubt , this time at Kranji in Singapore.

Starting over 1400 metres in the Dreyfuss 2004 Stakes Initiation, 2YO gelding Sonic Blast travelled kindly in sixth position on the rail, before pulling out on the turn and making the lead 200 metres from the finish. War Time pressed him hard in the closing stages, but Sonic Blast proved a touch too strong.

From the Secret Savings mare Klairity, Sonic Blast (not to be confused with the Charge Forward 3YO with the same name) is descended from a half-sister to champion English sprinter Habibti and champion broodmare Eight Carat. Purchased for just $7500 from the 2011 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale, he is Not A Single Doubt’s 12th 2YO winner this season.

Not A Single Doubt sits comfortably inside the top 10 on the Australian 2YO Sires’ list with just over $1 million prizemoney, and has compiled a total of 15 worldwide stakes performers (seven 2YOs) in 2011/12.

The son of Redoute’s Choice stands at Arrowfield in 2012 at a fee of $24,750 inc. GST.
