Not A Single Doubt's latest stakes performer

Three stakes performers made it a good weekend for Not A Single Doubt in what’s been an excellent year for his progeny. However, he obviously noted the Queen’s Birthday holiday and threw in number four, 2YO Substation, third in this afternoon’s $100,000 BRC Dalrello S. 1200m LR at Doomben.

That makes a total of 15 stakes performers for the 2011/12 season to date – seven of them 2YOs, without including his major juvenile earner Doubtfilly, a terrific fourth in the Golden Slipper G1. Not A Single Doubt has now nudged ahead of General Nediym into 6th place on the Australian 2YO Sires’ list with prizemoney of $943,695.

Substation, who won his debut in February, was bred by Arrowfield in partnership with John Leaver, and sold by Arrowfield for $15,000 at the 2010 Inglis June Weanling Sale, before his re-sale as a yearling to trainer Tracy Green.

Substation’s dam Princess Shorna (by Last Tycoon), also the dam of stakeswinner Hidden Wonder (by Danzero) and Group-placed winner Strong Choice (by Redoute’s Choice ), was retired after foaling a Snitzel filly in 2010.

Not A Single Doubt stands in 2012 at a fee of $24,750 inc. GST.
