Stakeswinner No. 7 for Not A Single Doubt

Not A Single Doubt ‘s excellent 4YO son Unanimously weighed in at 16 of his first 18 starts, missing only in Listed Stakes company.

Tonight at his 19th start he filled that gap in his CV by winning the $100,000 ATC Cantebury BMW Classic 1100m LR, and becoming Not A Single Doubt’s 7th stakeswinner.

Bred by Queensland breeders Kerry & Annie Bushell from the Vain mare Heaven’s Eyes, Unanimously was a $45,000 purchase by trainer Matthew Dale from the Kanangra draft at the 2009 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. He is raced by Mr G A & K R and Mrs A & Mrs S L Orbell, Mr J M & Mrs C Richardson, Mr R B Grynberg, Mr T B McKeon, Mr M W Curtis & Mr S Taberner.

Dale was confident about Unanimously’s chances when he spoke to Racing & Sports yesterday. “He’s come through it [his last start third at Canterbury on 24 December] good and the three weeks between runs suits.

“At the moment it’s just one step at a time with him because there are so many options. We can afford to just reassess after each run and go from there. There’s no grand plans for him but there’s plenty of options on the radar.”

Unanimously has now won more than $360,000 since winning his first start almost two years ago. He is the third member of Not A Single Doubt’s second crop to earn black capitals, after Group winners Squamosa and Castlethorpe. His dam is a winning daughter of the high-class filly Glory Girl (STC Tea Rose S. G2 and twice G1-placed).

This year’s Classic Yearling Sale includes 12 lots by Not A Single Doubt, among them Arrowfield’s colt from Extremely (by Hussonet). Click here to view the Arrowfield draft for the 2012 Classic Yearling Sale. .

His nine yearlings sold so far at this year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale have averaged almost $95,000 against his 2009 fee of $12,500 + GST. His top price of $140,000 was paid by Star Thoroughbreds for the Lago Lady filly consigned by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds.
