Eight Till Late makes 6 for Redoute's Choice

Redoute’s Choice added a sixth stakeswinner to his record as a broodmare sire when 3YO filly Eight Till Late claimed yesterday’s WATC Champion Fillies S. 1600m G3.

The daughter of Lonhro appeared to have lost all chance when she stumbled out of the gates and tailed the field, but produced a tremendous turn of foot to get up and win by a long head.

Bred by Hamilton Stud (NZ) Ltd & Woodlawn Park, Eight Till Late is from Future Choice, an unraced second-crop daughter of Redoute’s Choice. She is a half-sister to stakeswinners Suavity and Akarana (dam of Singapore Group 1 winner Always Certain, by Not A Single Doubt ), from the family of Group winners Crimson, Pharostan, Wildly and Victoria Derby G1 winner Omnicorp – all descended from the fine New Zealand-bred broodmare Bourbon Lassie (by Mellay).

Eight Till Late is the third stakeswinner this season from a Redoute’s Choice mare, after 3YO Chase The Rainbow (MVRC Bill Stutt S. G2) and 2YO Hussousa (ATC Gimcrack S. LR). Interestingly, four of the six stakeswinners so far from Redoute’s Choice mares are by Mr Prospector-line stallions (Dash for Cash, E Dubai, Husson and Fusaichi Pegasus).
