7YO gelding Syreon (ex Sorrento by Just A Dancer) won the $125,000 ATC Queen’s Cup 2000m G3 at Rosehill this afternoon for owners Bob & Anne-Marie Ruttley. Bred and sold by Vinery Stud, Syreon was bought for $100,000 by Anne-Marie at the 2005 Magic Millions Premier Sale, and has been trained by Chris Waller to win almost three times that figure in a six-win, 23-start career.

A few hours later in Perth, 2YO filly Bliss Street (ex Jade Diva by Jade Robbery) confirmed the promise of her maiden win ten days ago with a two-length victory in the $200,000 W.A. Sires’ Produce S. 1400m G3, beating previous stakeswinner Single Spice (by Not A Single Doubt ) and Valley Girl. Raced by Eddie Rigg’s Geisel Park Stud in partnership with Bliss Street’s breeders, Yarraman Park Stud, Mrs J.B. Rea, & R. M. MacArthur-Onslow, the filly is trained by Danny Morton.
