76th Stakeswinner for Flying Spur

Breeder Robert Heyblok was rewarded today when his wonderfully consistent 5YO mare Vintedge ( Flying Spur -Alternative Edge by Rory’s Jester) won the $100,000 Newcastle JC Tibbie S. 1400m LR.

Vintedge also became champion sire Flying Spur’s 76th individual stakeswinner, and his first this season. Trained by Chris Waller, the mare’s record is now five wins, 12 placings & more than $350,000 from 23 starts. Vintedge, a half-sister to stakeswinner Youths Edge, from the family of of G1 winners Racer’s Edge, True Steel and How Now, was previously stakes-placed in the AJC Toy Show H. LR and Wyong RC Mona Lisa S. LR.

It gets even better: rapidly finishing runner-up Hidden Wonder, by Danzero , completed a black type quinella for Arrowfield sires.
